ISC West takes place April 2-4. Here are some highlights to expect during the show.

• On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), a developer of non-proprietary, open architecture intelligent IP-based video surveillance software, will introduce a new solution called Ocularis. Ocularis’ unique user intuitive interface, functionality and infinite scalability sets new benchmarks in IP video surveillance control and management for large-scale applications. The combination of these features results in an IP video surveillance management solution that delivers the large-scale functionality of traditional matrix switching systems with all the inherent benefits of software-driven management and control.

“As a software solution developer specializing in IP video surveillance, OnSSI has always approached software development from the perspective of the IT professional. The unique makeup of our company has allowed us to integrate the user-intuitiveness of today’s most complex software with extensive functionality and scalability developed specifically for professional security applications,” says Mulli Diamant, vice president of sales, OnSSI. “Ocularis is the culmination of years of research and development combined with the extensive experience we have gained over the years from our working relationships with leading professionals in the security industry.”

Ocularis consists of an advanced, intuitive human interface controlling a suite of enhanced applications that have been seamlessly integrated to run on a single platform that crosses several operational parameters. It allows security professionals to effectively identify incidents, notify and inform the appropriate personnel both on- and offsite and efficiently manage actions to be taken. Ocularis records all cameras for archival use and employs advanced analytics to detect and filter events. By “pushing” video based on established policies, fewer people are required to monitor live activity and bandwidth utilization is reduced providing cost savings across the spectrum of operations.

• Denis Hébert, president and CEO, HID Global, and Luis Orbegoso, president, Lenel, will discuss the OPIN and Open Access Alliance Program (OAAP) partnership between Lenel and HID Global. This collaboration will establish a robust yet flexible solution platform for access control and security. It will take place on Wednesday, April 2, at 3 p.m. in the pressroom.

• The Security Industry Association (SIA) will hold industry group education sessions, including three on Wednesday, April 2. These include one for the CCTV Industry Group, from 9-10 a.m.; one for the Systems Integration Industry Group, from 2-3 p.m.; and one for the Access Control Industry Group, from 3-4 p.m.

• Also at 3 p.m., SIA will hold the New Product Showcase Awards Ceremony. This marketing and awards program made for security professionals to access and preview the latest new innovative products is now entering its 29th year, and was established to recognize outstanding innovative achievement in the design of electronic security products, systems and services. Technologies showcased through this program are utilized in the protection of life and property in residential, commercial and institutional settings.

With more than 1,000 exhibitors and 25,000 attendees expected at ISC West, SIA NPS is an established, proven channel through which designers, engineers and innovators of electronic security equipment to launch new products or technology. Exhibitors can gain valuable exposure for their product among key decision makers within vertical commercial segments, as well as the government and institutional markets.

“By showcasing only the most innovative security products on the market, NPS provides a one-stop shop for security professionals interested in learning about new products and trends,” says Richard Chace, executive director and CEO, The Security Industry Association.
