Preparations are well under way for ISC East 2008, scheduled for Oct. 29-30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. The show will feature exhibitors from all areas of the security industry, including access control, alarms and monitoring, biometrics, CCTV, fire control, remote monitoring systems integration, wireless applications and more.
Serving the northeast community of security professionals, and with an expected 400-plus companies participating, ISC East offers security solutions addressing the needs specific to the region. With a focus on markets such as education and campus, financial, government and civil buyers, ISC East provides a focused opportunity to source the latest security products, and to network with peers.
The success of last year’s ISC East show has led to the return of some features including:
• IP Institute: The IP Institute will provide full security education in the design, development and implementation of IP-based security solutions delivered by leading industry experts such as Microsoft, Cisco and others. Participants will receive a reference manual with checklists, participate in hands-on activities, receive a certificate upon completion, and a designation of Professional Security Network Associate.
• Urban Security: Urban security is a “show-within-a-show,” focusing on the latest products and technologies that provide solutions for civil and commercial properties as well as the region’s campuses. Categories represented in this show include perimeter/barrier protection, detection, urban services, city emergency and crisis management, port and cargo, technical gear and more. Urban security provides the latest solutions that will shape the future of urban protection.
• SmartHome: Continuing to serve the core market of dealers, installers and integrators, SmartHome returns to offer an event that will help customers deliver a completely integrated solution to a home, with the vendors that are designing the products that will ultimately be part of a fully connected and automated residence. SmartHome@ISC provides access to a new and growing audience of ISC security professionals who are expanding their services into the custom electronics industry.
